Saving a PDF, CSV export or backup on your phone goes through the Share sheet instead of a browser download.

When you download something in the app — a quote or invoice PDF, a CSV export, or a data backup — it works a little differently than on a website. Instead of dropping the file into a downloads folder, the app opens your phone’s Share sheet and lets you choose where to keep it.

  1. Tap Download (or Export) on the file you want, just like you would on the website.
  2. The phone’s Share sheet slides up with the file ready to go.
  3. Choose Save to Files on iPhone, or Save to Drive or Files on Android, to store it on your device.
  4. Or pick an app in the same sheet — for example email or WhatsApp — to send the file straight to someone.

The Share sheet is handy: you can save a copy and send it to a client in the same step. On iPhone, "Save to Files" lets you choose a folder like iCloud Drive or On My iPhone.

If you close the Share sheet without choosing anything, nothing is saved and nothing has gone wrong — just tap Download again when you’re ready.
