Understand payout timing from Stripe

When card payments actually land in your bank, and why that timing comes from Stripe.

Card payments run on your own Stripe account, so it is Stripe — not JobFlo — that pays the money out to your bank. JobFlo never holds your funds.

  • A successful card payment first lands in your Stripe balance.
  • Stripe then pays that balance out to the bank account you set up during onboarding, on its payout schedule.
  • Your first payout usually takes a few business days while Stripe gets your account established; after that, payouts settle on a rolling basis.
  • Stripe deducts its processing fee before paying out, so the amount in your bank is the payment minus Stripe’s fee.

You can see exactly when payouts are scheduled, and change your payout timing, from your Stripe dashboard. Stripe emails you a link to it, and you can always sign in at stripe.com.

A paid invoice in JobFlo means the client’s card cleared. The matching bank deposit follows a little later on Stripe’s payout schedule, so the two dates will not always line up.
