Adding a deposit or progress payments to an invoice

Split an invoice into stages, like a deposit and a balance.

For larger jobs you can split an invoice into payment stages — for example a deposit up front and the balance on completion. Each stage is a share of the total, and the client is shown the amount due now.

  1. While building an invoice, find the Payment Schedule section.
  2. Tap Add Stage, give it a label (such as Deposit), and set its percentage. JobFlo shows the dollar amount for each stage.
  3. Add more stages as needed — they must add up to 100% before you can send.
  4. Optionally set a due date per stage, then send the invoice.

On the client’s payment page, the next unpaid stage is shown as the amount due now, with the full total underneath. Payment schedules are available on the Pro and Business plans.
